TRUFF&MOI — Brand Identity · Packaging

 

Mediterranean cuisine, delivered

Truff & Moi is a fine dining delivery service launched during the first lockdown in spring 2020, when all the restaurants, including the fancy ones, were closed. This brand aims to recreate a little bit of the fine dining experience at home. 

We designed this identity in a branding sprint, by closely co-working online with the client’s entire team, including the chef and the kitchen staff. The menu is signed by Stephane Mora, a French-born chef raised in Switzerland, who likes to cook with fish and truffles. His vision gave the Mediterranean focus and flavor of the brand.

The wordmark is based on Marlet, a typeface which expresses the playful sophistication of the food. We particularly liked how the letter O resembles the swoosh a chef draws on the plate when it’s ready for service. Color-wise, we thought the brand must make an impression in just a few touchpoints, so we decided to use the primary color boldly. Easy to recognize and remember, this turquoise of the sea nicely continues the Mediterranean story.
